Gambit
A spike-lined fast lane runs straight through mid with gravity wells waiting past the exit. The flanks are safe but long — every push is a bet on the lane or the walk.
How it plays
The name is the design: the centre lane is the fastest path on the map and the easiest place to die, spiked down both sides with wells waiting past the exit to bend your line into them. The flanks are safe and slow. Every rotation is the same wager, and the map keeps score of your bets.
How to win it
Take the lane on offence when the defence has just committed elsewhere, never as a default — a carrier in the lane has no steering budget left to dodge a tag. Chasers can simply mirror along the flank and meet the lane's exit. The wells past the exit are the house edge: hold your brake as you clear the spikes or the pull swings you back into the teeth.
