Casual matches are six minutes now

The casual clock drops from eight minutes to six, on both map families — measured first, then tuned. Old replays still play back exactly as recorded.

PatchSep 5, 2026

Casual CTF and Neutral Flag both run a 6:00 clock now, down from 8:00. The mercy rule is unchanged: a three-goal lead still ends the match on the spot, and a level score at full time still goes to golden cap — next capture wins.

The number came from measurement, not vibes. We simulated dozens of full matches per map per bot tier and scored every candidate clock against the capture timelines. Five minutes was rejected because on Neutral Flag it didn't shorten matches — it turned half of them level at full time, and a level match goes to sudden death and runs longer. Six lands both maps in the right pocket.

Your saved replays are untouched. Every recording carries the format it was actually played under, so a match recorded on the eight-minute clock replays on the eight-minute clock, forever.
